Forza 5 Gets Economy Changes, Players Get 2013 Lotus E21 For Free

The development team at Turn 10 is acknowledging that Forza Motorsport 5 has disappointed a number of players when it comes to car unlocks and microtransactions and is announcing a number of measures that will lead to a full overhaul of the economic systems.The company explains in an official blog that, "Based on the numbers we’ve seen from our first week of FM5, as well as feedback we heard directly from you, we’re in the process of making some changes to the Forza Motorsport 5 economy. But, while we’re putting the final touches on that, we want to make sure everyone continues having a great time with Forza 5."

The biggest change that is coming to the racing game is a 50 percent price reduction for all the cars included in Forza 5.Turn 10 adds, "Every car, from the 1970 Nissan Datsun 510 to the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO will be 50 percent off, so, if you’ve got your eye on something special on the car list, now’s the time to play and add them to your garage! This discount will be available between 12:01 a.m. Pacific on Friday, Nov. 29 and 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, Dec. 1."It's unclear why the price changes are not permanent.Gamers who have VIP status will also get access to the 2013 Lotus E21 for free and if they have it they the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO will also automatically become available for use.The 2013 LaFerrari is also given to those who have the recent DLC or the Season Pass for Forza 5.The amount of rewards that gamers will be able to earn during December is also being increased and the developers are promising that more and bigger changes will be introduced in order to make sure that the economy works as it was originally designed.
